Hi there....Our trip last weekend to New Jersey was so amazing.
Friday, we flew in to New Jersey to go see the BON JOVI concert
and got to the hotel around 1:30pm. We found this awesome little bar called The Arena which is a block from the Prudential Center. We got there at 5pm and everyone in there was wearing Bon Jovi shirts, buttons, jackets...you name it. They were only playing Bon Jovi songs and everyone was drinking and singing along with the music. It was great. We got over to the concert around 8pm and JBJ rocked the house for almost 3 full hours, sang 27 songs. AMAZING. and yes...we sang along to every one of them. We got back to the hotel around 1:15 am.
Saturday, we ate breakfast at the hotel and headed into New York City via the lovely NJ Transit system. Once out of Penn Station we headed straight for a hot dog vendor. Yum. It was about 40 degrees and I was totally freezing. We ate a slice of Pizza too before we got the the Blue Man Group show off Broadway. That was so funny. I loved it. Highly recommend seeing it.
Then we walked around New York and visited the World Trade Center Site. It's wild how any visitors were there still, walking around it and trying to catch a glimpse of what they are building. We headed back to Time Square and ate dinner at the ESPN Zone and had a couple of drinks. we then walked to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree being set up and ready for lights. Then it was back to the train and we got in around 1am again.
Sunday, we got up and went to visit Craig's family before catching the plane and heading home. Craig's grandmother had just had surgery and looked awesome. We had a great weekend.
